How pricing works
Fixed scope with a deposit, or a monthly budget through sales. What is in the price, what is not, and why we work this way.
Two models
Fixed scope. One deliverable, one price, one date, agreed in writing before work starts. A deposit books the kickoff; the rest is due at handover. Changes are priced separately and only done when approved. Best when the deliverable is clear.
Monthly budget. For ongoing development, enterprise integrations and work whose shape evolves. A fixed monthly amount buys a planned set of priorities, reviewed together each month, with a named engineer and faster response. Arranged through sales.
What is in a fixed price
- The deliverable as described in the scope, to the done-checklist.
- Hosting setup on your accounts, a test environment, deployment pipeline.
- Documentation and a recorded handover.
- Thirty days of fixes after handover.
- Our time answering your questions during the project, within reason.
What is not
- Third-party costs: hosting, domains, model usage, app store fees, paid APIs. These are billed to your accounts directly; we tell you the estimate up front and they are usually small.
- Work outside the scope. It gets its own small scope.
- Content, photography, legal text, translations, unless listed.
Why a deposit
Because it is the only honest signal that a project is real, and because we have built before anyone paid and watched the work go nowhere. The deposit, usually 40%, books the engineer and starts the 24-hour clock. It is not refundable once work has started, and it is applied in full to the final invoice.
Why not hourly
Hourly billing rewards slowness and punishes experience. A fixed price makes us carry the risk of our own estimates, which is where the risk belongs. For ongoing work, the monthly budget behaves like a retainer with a plan, which gives you predictability without counting minutes.
Currency and invoicing
Invoices in euros from Finland by default. Other currencies by arrangement. Payment terms are on the invoice, typically fourteen days, deposit before kickoff.
A note on cheap
We are not the cheapest option and we do not try to be. We try to be the option where the number on the quote is the number on the final invoice, and where the thing works the first time.
